Being a volunteer firefighter will be a rewarding and fulfilling experience as you truly help those who need emergency services. The Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Company is continuously looking for new members. More than 60 volunteers from all walks of life already put in countless hours every year to make sure the Fire Company is ready to handle every call for help.

You can be part of this dedicated group. No experience is necessary as we provide all the training.

If you are at least 21 years of age, live within 1 mile of the Glen Ellyn Fire District for a minimum of 6 months, or work solely within Glen Ellyn you may qualify. As an applicant you must submit a brief letter indicating why you want to become a Glen Ellyn Firefighter. Please include your address, phone number, where you are employed and the hours you would be available to respond to emergency calls.
